Why does For Brown Girls, Inc. exist?

For Brown Girls, Inc. is dedicated to creating leaders by empowering women to fulfill their dreams and positively change their community. We provide safe learning environments where people receive opportunities in health, education, and leadership benefits. We are committed to working with marginalized communities, improving their lives, alleviating their suffering, and developing a vision for change that will make a meaningful difference in their lives. We meet to perform charitable projects. Projects might be hands-on, or they could be projects supported by our organization, raising money and awareness. Membership benefits like networking and social events may be practiced but are secondary to serving the mission.

Who is eligible to join For Brown Girls, Inc.?

To begin a journey to find your path with inspiration by learning the skills you need to excel while providing public service to the community and building lifelong friendships, all interested members who are 18 years of age or older are open for membership. An adult may sponsor young ladies between the ages of 13-17 to attend all activities. Invest in yourself and become part of an exclusive community of gifted women of color. This is a civic organization, and an annual $40 membership fee is required for membership.

Who is a representation of For Brown Girls, Inc.'s leadership?

An innovative CEO, an experienced team, and a diverse Board of Directors who are leaders in medicine, corporate and educational institutions, financial advisory, and philanthropy in Mississippi and Georgia. 

What are the sources of financial support for our organization, For Brown Girls, Inc.?

For Brown Girls, Inc. receives funding from a variety of sources, including National Sponsors, Corporate Sponsors, Government Grants, Individuals Donors, as well as planned giving and bequests.

Why donate to For Brown Girls, Inc.?

The request for a gift is an invitation to join in an entrepreneurial social change venture, an opportunity to invest in education, physical and mental awareness, mentorship for disadvantaged youth, and women's empowerment and success through philanthropy.  When we expand participation and leadership opportunities for disadvantaged youth and women, these experiences pay dividends in the form of a more substantial, empowered society. We cannot do this work alone. We have strong leadership and a team of experts to ensure that we maximize our financial resources. We encourage you to support For Brown Girl Inc. and help more people become productive citizens. Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals, administer our programs and initiatives, thrive, and fund our mission.
